This is a little project that started with a book on origami, and my boyfriend Steve. Steve is exceptionally good at folding paper, and he just got into it one day after getting some new paper at the craft store. It just got my photography ideas whirring, and we ended up creating the first photo together; of a lotus on water.

The project is a slow one, because it takes a lot of time to decide on what will look good, get the folding right, and to figure out how to set up the scene. The set up is probably the most difficult part, to be totally honest. Either way though, I am incredibly pleased with it. I was always a big fan of the beauty of origami, and now with my intense love of the Japanese culture it is probably the perfect project for me.
