Upcoming Events
First Night Saratoga
December 31st 2008
New Years Festival in downtown Saratoga Springs.
ATTENTION GALWAY PARENTS
As you are aware, I have been taking photos at the events this weekend. I am going to have proofs on the internet, though not directly linked here, if you are interested in seeing them, ordering, or anything else. These events are the Pizza with Santa photos, and the One Act Play Contest photos. If you would like the link, please e-mail me with your name and child's or childrens' name(s) so that I can verify you're not some stranger, along with which event proofs you would like to see, and I will forward you the location to them. All instructions will be present with the images.
Thank you,
Samantha
Updates
December 17th 2008
This past Saturday I did an in-home family portrait for a friend's family, and I really love how it came out. Check the blog for all the details about this. The photo has been added to the Portraiture section. I do in-home family portraits year round for anyone who is inerested! However, I cannot do anymore for a Christmas deadline.

I have finally updated! It's been so long since an update that even I'm cringing and giving myself healthy doses of scolding. But enough on that! You will find some new images in the Portraiture, Pets, and Personal sections of the site. I may also have some imagery for you from Pizza with Santa, which I did last night, though it will all depend on my preferred quality, the kids' behavior in the photo, and of course parental permission. So we shall see. Tonight we have the One Act Plays, which I will be finding a way to go see since my car is pretty much SOL until I can get the right front rim and tire fixed. Goodness life can be harsh! So wish me luck, enjoy the images, and have a wonderful day!
December 1st 2008
I have been very bad about keeping this updated again. Sadly, I've also been very busy and haven't even been able to do much photography either! :O With the PTSA event coming up though, I promise that I will be taking plenty of photos! LOL I'd hope so, considering. I was told that there are about 100-150 families that show up for this, so I'm hoping it'll be a great advertising vernture, since in exchange for my services I am being allowed a table display. I'm very excited! Other than that I've just been working 40hrs a week at the job from Hell, and have picked up mixed martial arts to build up my muscles and such. But anyways, enjoy what imagery I have, and look forward to some new stuff soon. I'm going to attempt model releases from parents at the event, but no promises there. Cross your fingers! :)
October 21st 2008
Added the last of the senior photos for this year, and updated a few other galleries. I also put a link to my etsy shop up top, since I am selling prints of some of my work, among other crafts that I do. And here you thought I only took photos. xD Please enjoy, and look forward to new stuff since this is the holiday season. ^^
October 5th 2008
I've done some more senior portraits, and I've been going out to capture some of the fall foliage that is appearing here in the Adirondacks. Enjoy!
September 22nd 2008
So I was unable to go to Johnstown, the whole thing was pretty much rained out. However, I did play with my sister and Sarah, and have been working on those portraits for a while since I am altering backgrounds and stuff, and I also went to a Civil War Encampment that was highly educational this past weekend. So tons of new photos are going up! Enjoy!
Also, the stuff that is more designed, with text and stuff, went in personal instead of portraiture. It leans more towards a commercial image, that's why. ;)
September 11th 2008
Updated my links and resume.
September 10th 2008
Fort Ticonderoga was AMAZING. I absolutely loved it. And I yielded 489 photos from that trip, though only 67 were saved for the web. Yeah... adding 67 photos today. xD But they're worth taking a look, I promise. And then this weekend I'm heading with Mom and maybe the sibblings into Johnstown for some historical day they're having. I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but I do know that the fife and drum core will be there, and I LOVE the fife and drum core. :3
Also be sure to take a peak in the personal section for the images from the Ring of Fire. And there are two new portraits as well! Today has been quite productive!
I've also secured a job at Walden Books, so I've got some steady income now to fill in the gaps while I work on building my business. HUZZAH!
August 31st 2008
Tonight's the ring of fire! Ohhhhh, I'm excited! I'm definitely going to go up for that. It's too bad I didn't really plan ahead/have money to burn so that I could get up in the air for it. Basically, everyone with beachfront property on the lake builds a MASSIVE bonfire and they all light them at the same time. They do it every Labour Day weekend, so maybe next year I'll get in the air. But for today, I'll get some ground stuff, maybe get out on a boat, and have new images (hopefully) tonight! In the meantime, I'm updating the site some more and generally being a bum. LMAO
August 29th 2008
Ohhhhhhh, isn't it nice now that I've updated some more? ^-^v
August 28th 2008
I updated the portraiture section, but I have more to go. And I'm making a seperate place for the senior portraits, and will be doing some other general maintence soon. But, since I feel like I'm going to vomit all over my keyboard, I'm calling it quits for the night and will be back on it tomorrow or the next day. Look for it!
August 14th 2008
Couldn't sleep, so I finished updating my services section. A bit more plain now, but I think it's more organized and thorough too. Still have more to go though, when I find the time.
Updated some more later today too. Haha, I'm on a bit of a role it would seem. Wow.
August 8th 2008
Okay, so I think I got it. I've updated the galleries, and as you can see, the links too. I'm not completely done yet because I have some other secions left to add/edit, but I did a lot thus far. So there's some new stuff to look at, hopefully a bit more of an organized feel, and even more to look forward to!
July 10th 2008
Working on overhauling the site. Going to revamp all the sections and stuff so that it works better, and narrow down my categories and stuff. So look forward to it! It'll take a bit though. >.<;;;
July 2nd 2008
Wow has it been a while since I last updated! I'm working on a lot of stuff though, so things might still be a bit slow. I'm going to try and update at least once a week if possible! Promise! Just gotta find myself a job, and get my feet on the ground and running in the real world first. ^^; That's always the hardest part. But yeah, I finally updated this beast of a site, so be sure to check it out. Plenty of new stuff!
June 9th 2008
I shot my first wedding yesterday in Conneticuit, so I'm working on editing and retouching those photos. Expect something in the wedding section by the end of next week at the latest!
June 1st 2008
Tomorrow is my final portfolio review. HOLY CRAP. o_o So I'm totally nervous about that, but I'm fairly certain I'll pass. Still, there's a little bit of doubt, as always. >.< Then, the people who I did the big outdoor family portrait for want more prints and are recommending me around. WHOO! That totally makes me excited! So I am posting the portrait up on here, and sometimes today I am going to post a buttload of drama portraiture as well. YEAH BABY!
May 22nd 2008
So we are finally done with our final portfolios at Hallmark, and it is SUCH a relief. And now that it's done, I have a ton of new imagery that I am placing up on my site. So keep your eyes peeled for it. Oh, and also be aware that I am updating and changing what I have on here as well. Getting rid of some of the weaker stuff, and rearranging as I see fit.
May 12th 2008
So I've been shooting like a crazy person. I went to the reenactment and got a lot of great shots there. Those guys seem to love hamming it up for the camera, and were more than happy to help me. Not only did they fire the muskets three times for myself and two friends, but I got to shoot a bayonet charge that was coming at me. Adrenaline rush for sure, but it was awesome. Those images will be up soon. I did a family portrait as well, along with a couple shoot. I am going to get an athlete soon, and my occupational. So I've been shooting and editing and just generally very busy. But it's worth it, because I love what I'm doing. Be sure to watch for new images!
May 5th 2008
So I totally missed the speaker at Fort Ticonderoga this weekend due to bad weather and illness. xP
On the other side of the fence, thanks to Dalton at Solid Snake Designs, the site should now run properly in Internet Explorer. Thank you Dalton!
And I'd also like to thank my friend Brendan for checking if it worked for me, since I killed IE on my laptop with Beta 8 >.< Oops. Also, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Brendan as well. You're an awesome friend, and a great photo assistant on the go.
May 1st 2008
There are some new-old photos up now. I've been cleaning off my computer because it's SO full of crap it's rediculous, and found this folder of images I shot last summer, and never went through because I was just out shooting more than I could keep up with! So I just edited the small ones I guess, but the folders with more than 50 images in them were never touched. And thus there is now stuff in the Event section, which was previously the Band section. Decided I needed to broden my orizon a bit, since I do a lot of different events. It's fun.
Still haven't gotten an answer to the IE problem, going to have to take it up with a professional... when I get my laptop online at college.
April 29th 2008
So I began working on my services. Decided I'd put some prices up for now, since I won't be able to get a studio right off like I had hoped. I spent HOURS working on getting the table to look like I wanted, and was also fighting for a good portion of time with getting the site to render properly in Internet Explorer. No luck so far with IE, but I did place a help wanted message up on a forum that's helped me before, so hopefully that will be fixed soon. In the mean time I'm just going to be shooting for my final portfolio and setting up time with models and families.
April 12th 2008
Edited the links, they should look better now. I'm also working on the other pages a bit more too. Going to edit the header image sometime soon as well, because lets face it, it's not that great.
April 11th 2008
Showed the site to my parents on their computer only to find that it does not work properly in IE. Can't use codes to make it work in IE (that I know) and still have it work in Firefox. So IE users will just have to suffer for now. Sorry you poor fools.
April 10th 2008
As of right now, the site is currently in the construction stages, and things are still being sorted out and coded in properly. Never before in my life have I had so many issues creating a site. Please, bear with me.
